For meets where registration to specialist events is enabled, participating gyms can register the same athlete twice in a single meet: first in an all around level, and second in a specialist event level. For example, you may choose to register an athlete for Bronze All Around, then for Silver UB and VT. Here's how.
All Around Entry
If the athlete has been preloaded into the registration form (which means they were previously added to your general roster), you only need to tick the "All Around" checkbox. However, if you creating an athlete entry from scratch, you will need to use the new athlete row at the bottom of every level table.
Fill out the new athlete row with complete details:
A new row containing the data you just entered should appear on the level table. You can now tick the "All Around" checkbox to mark the athlete for registration:
The next step involves creating the duplicate version for the event specialist entry.
Event Specialist Entry
To differentiate the event specialist entry, you'll need to create another entry with slightly different details:
- Append the event abbreviations in parentheses to the athlete's last name.
- Fill out the rest of the fields normally, except for the athlete number.
- In the athlete number field, just enter "IGC." Leave out the number.
You may create the duplicate entry in any level on the form, since you can always change the level in the next step. It may be faster to just create the duplicate right below its all around counterpart, to make it easier to copy the details.
The duplicate entry should now appear on the table. Click on the level field (last column) to show the dropdown of available competition levels, then select the level you want to move this entry to.
Once you select a level, the row will automatically move to the table for that level in the registration form. Select the events your specialist will compete in, making sure that these match what's on the athlete's last name.
When you've finished doing the same for other athletes who are also competing in multiple levels, click on "Continue" at the bottom of the form to proceed to the next step (the registration confirmation page).
